OBJECTIVES OF DISCUSSION SYSTEMS The immediate mission of the company is to create software to support incentives for annotating and merging changes into documents. The contributions will be incrementally released as they are explicitly recognized and corrected. This constitutes a new paradigm for collaborative work wherein explicitly awarded credits increase exposure. Success breeds on itself but attaches to themes at least as readily as to individuals. The medium term objective of the company is to become the supplier of the dominant system for banking the credits and distributing the reputation information that can be inferred from the credit flows. The long range goal is to leverage the preceding dominant system to sell a wide spectrum of intelligent programs which can reason and communicate using free forms such as spoken language.
