K-OS™ is to support the development and distribution of intellectual properties. As
of 2/6/2003, the key unfilled requirements are:
distributed media (document) annotation system
with support for different types of structured contributions
banking system for cash or other (e.g. academic) credits
with ability to make loans and manage chargebacks
dynamic pricing mechanisms responsive to consumer choice
reputation management based on valuation of works
lightweight, highly automated processes of corporate ownership and management of works
rings of protection for highly valuable works, from public access to
guild-like self-regulation to formal contractual relationships
Those concerned are requested to develop these items. Credit will
distributed "first in, first out" according to the revenues received
by discussIT.org (see below).
