Save Lives and Improve Fuel Economy

Intersection collisions annually kill approximately 7,000 people in the US and 175,000 worldwide with 40X as many injuries.  Design, manufacture and market IEEE 802.16e and GPS based devices to provide drivers with speed advisories that facilitate merges and sharply reduce collision risk at both controlled and uncontrolled intersections.  They would also permit drivers of non-hybrid vehicles to double city mileage.  They should have idle engine cut-off and may need electric power steering and brakes.

SHORT TERM

Contribute to Design and Development of Collaborative Software

Help expedite development of next generation wiki software that identifies authors and experts, and adjudicates disputes in such a way that it is easy to review the process.  Develop an ownership model which appropriately protects and rewards contributions that cannot be motivated in any other way.  Extend to synchronous collaboration in 3D and even 4D.

Help Voters Make More Informed Decisions, Particularly about Local Candidates

Distribute the work of entering candidate positions by 'wikifying' ontheissues.org.  This will expand the vote matching feature of the site and help voters to make informed decisions about congressional and local races.

Performance Arts

Finish a screenplay.  e.g. 2222, a contemplation of mind, machine and the meaning of eternal life.  Write a biography.  Sing.  Act.

MEDIUM TERM

Create an International NGO to Fund Competitions that Accelerate the Deployment of Key Technologies

Specify software to serve inventors by creating an encapsulated micro-patent system.  Make stars of engineers.  Obtain funding from foundations worldwide.

Accelerate Key Technologies for Land Transportation

Develop the physical and safety critical interfaces for  roadtrains.  Help to design, develop and manufacture compatible vehicles. 

LONG TERM

Launch Discussion Systems

Help to develop systems that engage people in interesting conversations using live, recorded and machine generated voices (and images).

Use state-of-the-art technologies to make the legislative processes more transparent and accessible.
